Guide 01

A day in the life of a loan originator

Who's really keeping your loan on track? Here's what I'm doing behind the scenes, from the first conversation to closing day.

1. Your game plan comes first

Before you shop, we review your income, assets and loan options together.

2. The document chaser

Bank statements, pay stubs, verifications. I gather it all so underwriting has everything it needs.

3. Checking the building, too

In Florida, a condo building's budget, reserves and insurance get reviewed before a lender says yes. If you're buying a condo, I look at the building as well as your file.

4. Always in the loop

“Where are we? What's next? What do I sign?” That's what I'm here for. You shouldn't have to guess where your loan stands.

5. Keeping everyone moving

Your realtor, the appraiser, the title company and the underwriter all have a part. I keep everyone moving toward closing day.

General information, not a commitment to lend. All loans are subject to credit approval, underwriting guidelines, property eligibility and program availability.
